Kid To Kid

From a very young age Angie, our founder, has always loved helping people and volunteering. She joined the girl scouts in PreK and stayed in the program until her junior year in high school. During college Angie became a member of Tri Sigma, a panhellenic sorority, one of their philanthropic missions was helping march dimes, an organization the would help premature babies and their families. This sparked her interested in wanting to learn more on how to help, not just premature babies, but all kids and their families.  Angie would volunteer at soup kitchens and host local clothing and toy drives. However, she still felt that it wasn't enough and wanted to do more to help.

After graduation and the launch of her business Angel's Designs, Angie saw she had an influx of leftover fabric from her time in college and from old purchases. Angie didn't want to sell or donate the old fabric as she feared it would end up in landfills and become fabric waste. After much research she saw that a lot of pregnancy centers and community shelters were in need of newborn-24 month onesies for expecting mothers and families. Thus sparking the idea for the Kid to Kid campaign.

Angie wanted to ensure every child felt loved and comfortable in the clothes they are wearing. She also saw that in today's society we market the idea of overconsumption and over production, in other words the more trendy and inexpensive clothing a company produces, it results in their customers buying more. However, most of these clothes go unworn and end up in landfills were the take years to decompose and end up hurting the environment in the process.  With the Kid to Kid campaign we hope to encourage consumers that every time they buy they donate their unworn or gently used clothing to local shelters and centers in need. By using our leftover fabric, Angel's designs helps to reduce fabric waste while also helping those in need.

With every purchase Angel's Designs we will donate onesies to local pregnancy centers and community shelters. Angie hopes that through these donations it can help to make a positive impact on these kids and families lives while also protecting the environment.
